On Monday, August 9, 2021, from 7:00am to 5:00pm, North Washington Street will be closed at West Granada Boulevard (SR-40) north to the nearest driveway access. Then on Tuesday, August 10, 2021, from 7:00am to 5:00pm, South Washington Street will be closed at West Granada Boulevard (SR-40) south to the nearest driveway access. Traffic on West Granada Boulevard (SR-40) will be minimally impacted. Businesses and Facilities in the area will continue to have access to their driveways and parking lots on Washington Street via New Britain Avenue or Corbin Avenue. This is to allow for replacement of the downtown banner poles. During this closure, traffic will be detoured using Ridgewood Avenue, US-1 (South Yonge Street), New Britain Avenue and Corbin Avenue, please carefully follow the traffic signs and markings. As soon as work is complete the roadway will be opened and traffic will be permitted to resume.
