[ARCHIVED] Volusia County News Update: Winter storms cause changes in vaccination schedule

Update/Date Changes

Two upcoming COVID-19 vaccination events in Volusia County originally scheduled for this Thursday are being re-scheduled due to the delay in delivery of the vaccine caused by the winter storms blanketing a wide swath of the country. The two changes to the schedule originally announced in the news release below are as follows:

The first dose clinic scheduled for Thursday, Feb. 18 at the Volusia County Fairgrounds in DeLand has been re-scheduled for Monday, Feb. 22. For residents who were scheduled to receive their first dose on Feb. 18, the state’s registration platform, Sharecare, will contact them to confirm the new date. While the first dose clinics have transitioned to walk-up, or indoor events, pre-registration and appointments are still required.

The second dose event also scheduled for Thursday, Feb. 18 at the Volusia County Fairgrounds in DeLand has been re-scheduled for Tuesday, Feb. 23. Those appointments had been scheduled through Eventbrite. Residents will receive an email notification from Eventbrite to confirm the new date.
