Utility Deposit Refunds: Helping with COVID-19 Hardships

Utility customers are required to establish a deposit upon opening an account with the City. This deposit is automatically returned to you after 24 months of good payment on your utilities bill. We understand some residents are having financial hardships during the COVID-19 public health crisis. As a result, we are returning initial utility deposits early to all customers who have not yet received their deposit refund.

This refund will appear as a credit on your May utility bill. For most customers, the amount will range between $75-$150 and should help cover one to three months of utility service depending on your usage and deposit amount. We hope that this helps in some small way and please know that we are committed to continuing to provide excellent service to our residents through this difficult time and beyond.
