Your friends at the Ormond Beach Police Department are excited to announce this year’s National Night Out will be presented on August 6th between 5pm-8pm at Nova Community Center. Everyone is invited to this year’s “Super Hero” event. There will be entertainment for people of all ages at this popular community event.
This FREE event will feature some of your favorite super heroes and villains. There will also be a costume contest, photo booth, rock wall, martial art demo, dance demo, lip-sync performance, face painting, bouncy houses, your favorite music, helmet fittings and so much more! OBPD’s Officer Mele and Officer Devane will be joined by 103.3 The VIBE’s DJ Tremble as your event hosts.
OBPD’s 10 Alpha1, McGruff the Crime Dog, and Chick-fil-A COW are all ready to spread some cheer. Vendors from several local companies will be there while we give away some spectacular prizes from our popular raffle. Local favorites like Gotham City pizza, Hershey’s ice cream, and Krispy Kreme will be serving up some delicious snacks. Chief Godfrey, Captain Roos and Captain Smith will be on the grill serving up some delicious grilled food courtesy of Walmart. This is the perfect way to end the summer!
Annually over 15,000 communities across the United States join forces and celebrate National Night Out. A Nationwide attendance of over 37 million people from all 50 States, U.S. Territories, Canadian Cities, and our Military Bases worldwide will come together in an effort to promote a Community and Police Partnership. National Night Out enhances the relationship between neighbors and law enforcement while bringing back a true sense of community. It furthermore provides an opportunity to bring police and neighbors together.
