This year, Saturday, April 22, marks the forty-ninth anniversary of the first Earth Day. On Thursday, April 18, the City of Ormond Beach will be holding its 27th annual Picnic on the Plaza at City Hall, 22 South Beach Street, from 10:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. in celebration of Earth Day. More than one billion people in 190 countries celebrate Earth Day.
This is a great family friendly event with a wide variety of booths/exhibits providing a wealth of information for all ages along with some great giveaways. The City of Ormond Beach will have trees (3 gallon size) available to give away to the first 500 attendees!

In order to serve everyone who wants to take advantage of this service, each person can bring up to 5 letter size bankers boxes or up to 3 legal bankers boxes. Also, please do not bring any metal items, metal hanging files, three ring binders, hard drives or batteries. No garbage including plastic items. Staples and paper clips are fine.
