The OB Life Citizen Engagement Meeting to Focus on Economic Development, Tuesday, November 27

The City of Ormond Beach will be discussing economic development in the sixth and final workshop of a six part community engagement series called The OB Life on November 27 at 6 p.m. at 1687 W. Granada Blvd. The goal of the informational and interactive series is to gather resident input to share with the Ormond Beach City Commission as they update the city’s strategic plan in 2019.

This is an opportunity to learn more about economic development efforts in your community, and to share your ideas for our future. The workshop will focus on economic development initiatives that foster business location and expansion, support workforce development, and the resources available to businesses in the City.   Following the format of previous meetings, attendees will be asked to respond to polling questions and participate in a question and answer session.  All information from the meeting, including a video and responses to questions, will be posted on the city’s website, OrmondBeach.org.

The discussion on economic development will be presented by Ormond Beach Economic Development Director Brian Rademacher, CareerSource of Volusia/Flagler Executive Director Robin King, and Ormond Beach Chamber of Commerce Executive Director Debbie Cotton.

The November 27 meeting will be held at the Calvary Christian Academy Kids Center, 1687 W. Granada Blvd, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. For more information, visit OrmondBeach.org.

Persons with a disability such as vision, hearing or speech impairment, or persons needing other types of assistance, and who wish to attend may contact the City Clerk in writing, or may call 677-0311 for information regarding available aids and services.
