Ormond Beach Receives GFOA's Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting

The City of Ormond Beach is pleased to announce that for the 28th consecutive year it has received the Government Finance Officers Association (GFOA) prestigious Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting for its comprehensive annual financial report (CAFR).  This is the highest form of recognition in the area of governmental accounting and financial reporting, and its attainment represents a significant accomplishment by a government and its management.

The CAFR has been judged by an impartial panel to meet the high standards of the program which includes demonstrating a constructive “spirit of full disclosure” to clearly communicate its financial story and motivate potential users and user groups to read the CAFR.

Mayor Bill Partington said, “I am delighted that Ormond Beach is being recognized for this outstanding achievement for the 28th consecutive year.  It is a testament to the exceptional commitment of our Finance Department in providing transparency and full disclosure year after year.”

When an Award of Financial Reporting Achievement is given, it is presented to the individual(s) or department designated as being primarily responsible for the achievement.  This has been presented to the City of Ormond Beach Finance Department.
