The
Ormond Beach Performing Arts Center, 399 North U.S. Highway 1, will host the
fabulous final event of Seniors Got Talent on Sunday, November 4, from
2:00 PM - 5:00 PM. After over 60 auditions and 20 in the
preliminaries this past Sunday, the top 10 have been selected. The judges
included Ormond Beach Deputy Mayor/City Commissioner Troy Kent, Flagler County
Commissioner Nate McLaughlin, Executive Director of Market Street in Palm Coast
Andrew Gall, and Governor of the Florida District of Kiwanis Todd Smith. The
finals will have a surprise judge, Volusia County Sheriff Michael Chitwood.
The
goal is to raise $20,000 for the Long-Term Care Scholarship benefiting a local
senior on the Medicaid Waitlist and $10,000 for the local Alzheimer’s Walks in
Volusia and Flagler County. This exciting event will include singers,
comedians and much more. Those in attendance will have the
opportunity to participate in raffles and a live auction of a luxury Costa
Rican Vacation Home for a week.
