Ormond Beach Firefighters Charities
invites you to come out and join its “Fired Up for a Cure” event on Sunday,October 7, beginning at 4:00 p.m. at the Men’s Refinery in the Gaslamp Shoppes,
50 East Granada Blvd. We are battlingcancer by buzzing heads.
This will be a fun filled evening
with food, local beer, drinks, and music to benefit the “Light the Way” localcharity which helps cancer patients and their families with their individual
needs in Volusia County. One hundredpercent (100%) of the proceeds will be donated to Light the Way. An Ormond Beach fire truck will also be on
site with handouts!
The highlight of the evening will bewatching local firefighters get their heads shaved! Many fire departments in Volusia County are
participating, so come out and join the fun. From Ormond Beach, you won’t want to miss seeing Police Chief JesseGodfrey and Fire Battalion Commander Nate Quartier get their heads shaved in
the fight against cancer!
You can join the fight too by havingyour head shaved or getting a colored hair extension. There will be some great items in the Silent
Auction and there will also be a 50/50 raffle.
