Ormond Beach Launches OpenGov

Today the City launched a new web-based platform called OpenGov.  Accessible through the City’s website, OpenGov is an online engagement tool that supports new features such as conducting resident surveys on key topics.  OpenGov is part of “The OB Life” initiative designed to ensure all citizens have a voice in shaping the future of our city.

Information presented and received through the Community Engagement Series, also part of “The OB Life” initiative, is available on the City’s webpage.  Material from the Community Development meeting held on June 28, including the agenda, presentations, polling questions, and fish bowl questions (coming soon) are now available online.  Residents can also submit additional questions on the City’s webpage that were not asked during the community meetings.

As a reminder, all of “The OB Life” citizen engagement meetings will take place at the Calvary Christian Academy Kids Center, 1687 W. Granada Blvd., from 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM on the following dates:

Jul.  24:         Transportation and Livable Communities

Aug. 30:         Environment and Water Quality

Sep 25:          Public Safety: Police, Fire and Emergency Preparedness

Oct. 23:           Leisure and Culture

Nov. 27          Economic Development

Jan. 22           Program Summary and Wrap Up

The meetings will be interactive and citizens are encouraged to attend and share their thoughts and ideas.
