A telecommunications company ruptured a
sixteen inch raw water main under South Nova Road near Division Avenue this
afternoon during its boring operations.
The City’s Water Distribution crews are
working on the repair to the pipe now and traffic control measures have been
placed in the area. Due to lane closures
in the northbound lanes, motorists are encouraged to use Hand Avenue and US 1
if traveling to the east; and, Hand Avenue and Clyde Morris Blvd. or Williamson
Blvd. if traveling to the west.
A disruption in service to customers is not
expected and repairs are anticipated to be completed this evening.
