Beach is expecting freezing temperatures over the next few days and we want you
to be safe in this uncommon Florida weather.

If you must be outside, dress in
layers and wear a hat and gloves to stay warm.

Children and the elderly are most
vulnerable to cold weather, so please make sure they stay inside or are dressed
appropriately if they must be outside.

Bring your pets indoors or provide a
warm shelter for them.

Bring cold sensitive plants indoors or
provide a covering to protect them.
·
Turn your sprinklers off as the water
could freeze if left on and could create a dangerous situation on streets or
sidewalks.

Anytime there is freezing
temperatures, there is the possibility of ice.
·
If you must travel, be cautious on
roadways and especially bridges as transportation officials warn that a “Bridge
Freezes Before Road” because bridges are exposed to air on all of its surfaces
unlike a road.
