[ARCHIVED] Temporary Disaster Recovery Center Updated Hours

The registration deadline for residents with damages or losses from Hurricane Irma in Volusia County is November 24, 2017.  A temporary Disaster Recovery Center (DRC) is open through Sunday, November 5, at the Florida Department of Health, located at 1845 Holsonback Drive, Daytona Beach.

The DRC hours are:

Thursday, November 2 – Saturday, November 4:  9:00 AM – 7:00 PM

Sunday, November 5:  9:00 AM – 1:00 PM

If your primary residence was damaged and you have insurance, call your insurance company to file an insurance claim as FEMA will not duplicate assistance for losses covered by insurance.  You may still be eligible for assistance from FEMA for damages not covered by your insurance.

Registering/applying is your first step in getting disaster assistance.  You can register/apply online at www.DisasterAssistance.gov, or by calling FEMA at 800-621-FEMA (3362).  Online registrations must be completed by midnight on November 24, 2017.  Applicants using 711 or Video Relay Service may also call 800-621-3362.  Applicants who are deaf, hard of hearing or have a speech disability and a TTY, please call 800-462-7585.  Toll free phone lines are open 7 AM – 11 PM seven days a week until further notice and multilingual operators are available.

Please don’t delay, if you need disaster assistance, register before the deadline.
