The registration deadline for residents with
damages or losses from Hurricane Irma in Volusia County is November 24,
2017. A temporary Disaster Recovery
Center (DRC) is open through Sunday, November 5, at the Florida Department of
Health, located at 1845 Holsonback Drive, Daytona Beach.
The DRC hours are:
Thursday, November 2
– Saturday, November 4: 9:00 AM – 7:00
PM
Sunday, November
5: 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM
If your primary residence was damaged and you
have insurance, call your insurance company to file an insurance claim as FEMA
will not duplicate assistance for losses covered by insurance. You may still be eligible for assistance from
FEMA for damages not covered by your insurance.
Registering/applying is your first step in
getting disaster assistance. You can
register/apply online at www.DisasterAssistance.gov, or by calling FEMA at 800-621-FEMA
(3362). Online registrations must be
completed by midnight on November 24, 2017.

have a speech disability and a TTY, please call 800-462-7585. Toll free phone lines are open 7 AM – 11 PM
seven days a week until further notice and multilingual operators are
available.
