There’s no place better to celebrate our nation’s 241 years of freedom than beside the beautiful Halifax River in Ormond Beach. Citizens and visitors can enjoy entertainment and fun-filled activities with no admission fee.
Entertainment will stretch from City Hall Plaza across the Granada Bridge to Rockefeller Gardens.
Rockefeller Gardens will feature “Not Brothers Band” and City Hall will feature “UpTUIT” both playing from 7:00 p.m. – 9:15 p.m.
Kids’ activities will be in Rockefeller Gardens (North Lawn) from 7:00 p.m. – 8:30 p.m. Kids’ activities include a rock climbing wall, a moon walk, an obstacle course, a giant slide, and more! Returning this year, there will be a photo booth! Other entertainment, balloon twisting, a stilt walker, and of course, special appearances by Abe Lincoln, George and Martha Washington!
The finale of this celebration will consist of one of the area’s best fireworks displays! The fireworks begin promptly at 9:30 p.m. on the Halifax River just south of the Granada Bridge. This is the 19th year the event has been held on the corners of the Granada Bridge and it now attracts visitors from other states.
For 42 years, Santore has provided the anxiously awaited fireworks show in Ormond Beach exciting all the spectators and reminding us of the history we are celebrating on the fourth of July.
Those with handicapped parking permits may park in the lot near Bailey Riverbridge Gardens (where Pilgrim’s Rest Church is located), on the northeast corner of Granada Blvd. and North Beach Street. Public parking includes the lot behind City Hall, The Casements parking lot, and Fortunato Park.
Please be aware that the parking area on South Beach Street adjacent to Cassen Park will be closed at 1:00 a.m. on Tuesday, July 4th, and will remained closed until 1:00 a.m. on Wednesday, July 5th.
Cassen Park piers and boat docks will be closed at 7 p.m. on July 4th.
North Beach Street will be closed from Granada to Lincoln Avenue; South Beach Street will be closed from Granada to Division Avenue; and, Grove Street will be closed from Tomoka Avenue to Division Avenue. Other side streets within the event area may be detoured or closed for the event.
Free shuttle service will be available from 7:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. to assist guests in getting back and forth across the Granada Bridge. Pick-up and drop-off locations are at Beach Street and Granada Blvd. on the west side of the bridge, and at Riverside Drive and Granada Blvd. on east side of the bridge. We encourage you to get to your fireworks viewing location prior to the end of the shuttle service. The final shuttle will end at City Hall at 10:15 p.m.
Please understand that following the fireworks display, traffic will be heavy and you will experience congestion for at least fifteen minutes and we encourage you to be patient.
We would also like to remind you that this is an alcohol free event. Personal fireworks are prohibited.
