Ormond Beach Economic Development is excited to be an affiliate partner and bring the Kauffman FASTTRAC curriculum to the City. The program is offered in partnership with Volusia/Flagler SCORE and will be facilitated by a certified business coach. The 10-week program will provide students an opportunity to grow their idea into a business plan.

Kauffman FASTTRAC is a 10-week course facilitated by Virtual Instruction. Each session is 1.5 hours long.

DATES:           April 05 through June 09. 

DAYS:             Every Monday and Wednesday 

TIME:              6:00PM to 7:30PM 

LOCATION:    Zoom -- Live Virtual Instruction using Zoom Video Conference.

Entrepreneurs and small businesses play a fundamental role in local communities.

Starting a new venture, building a new product can be fun, exhilarating, and tough. A business plan is crucial for the entrepreneur starting a business. Business plans help an entrepreneur to know their product and establish an overall game plan to start and grow the company. 

Ormond Beach is dedicated to supporting the small business and entrepreneurial community. The Economic Development Department has partnered with Voulsia/Flagler SCORE to provide The Kauffman FASTTRAC program.

Kauffman FASTTRAC is a flexible course with a framework to provide information, tips, exercises, and tools to help you, the aspiring entrepreneur, think about and build your business from idea to launch. Through this course you will work to build your business plan to: 

  • Discover how your business concept matches your personal vision.
  • Align your business concept with a real market opportunity.
  • Learn how to set realistic financial goals for your business.
  • Determine the unique features and benefits of your product/service.
  • Find your target market and discover your competitive advantage.
  • Define your company’s brand and marketing.
  • Learn how to manage business functions and develop an organizational culture.
  • Determine the steps to profitability.
  • Identify potential sources of funding for your business.
  • Launch your business.

Your Facilitator

Adrienne Barker, MAS, grew up in the Promotional Product industry and offers over 35 years of experience on the business's distributor side. Adrienne has earned a lifetime certification designation of Masters of Advertising Specialties.  Adrienne is a Senior Brand Marketing Manager and is powered by the 2nd largest promotional product supplier in the USA called Halo Branded Solutions. 

Combining her knowledge and understanding of the promotional product industry with her certification as an International Etiquette and Protocol Consultant, Adrienne brings more than just sales experience to the office.  

Adrienne served as VP Marketing for Southern Arizona SCORE in 2017-2018 and is now living in Daytona Beach. Adrienne is the current Vice President for SCORE Volusia/Flagler and the Director of Workshop Development.   

Adrienne provides mentoring in the following fields: Marketing, Social Media Management, Supply Chain Management, and International Protocol, Marketing Strategy, and Social Media Marketing.

Adrienne has over twelve years of experience working in non-profit and fundraising.
