Granada Boulevard Resurfacing & Streetscape Improvements

The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) is currently in the process of improving the segment of Granada Boulevard between Washington Street and Beach Street. FDOT has awarded the contract for this work to Masci Construction who commenced the 105 day project on January 7, 2013. During construction no lane closures will be permitted between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m., with the majority of construction occurring during evening hours.

A summary of the improvements that can be expected with the construction of this project include:
  • Resurfacing of travel Lanes from Washington Street to Beach Street
  • Upgraded drainage improvements
  • Concrete curb replacement
  • ADA (American with Disabilities Act) Accessibility Improvements
  • Construction of raised medians and traffic separators
  • Signalization improvements
Future City Projects that will follow this construction will include:
  • Landscape improvements
  • Irrigation upgrades
  • Installation of decorative up-lighting
