Beach elections for 2007, which included the election of the Mayor and City
Commissioners from Zone 1, Zone 3 and Zone 4, were held October 9, 2007. The

The incumbent Zone 2 city
commissioner, Troy Kent, had no opposition in this fall’s elections; therefore,
he will serve another term beginning in January 8, 2008.

The new Commission will be sworn into office at
a special organizational meeting on January 8, 2008, which meeting is scheduled
to begin at 7:00 p.m. There will be a brief reception in the City Hall atrium
prior to the meeting. The term of the new City Commission is two (2) years
ending January 5, 2010.

a population within 5% of the other zones. Each zone is served by one City
Commissioner; the Mayor represents the entire City.
