Division Chief Mark Walker supervises the Operations Division, which is the core law
enforcement and community policing arm of the department.
The
division’s Patrol and Traffic Units respond to about 65,000 calls for
assistance a year, or about 180 calls a day, while taking proactive steps to
reduce crime.
The
Traffic Unit includes five motorcycle officers who handle traffic enforcement
and investigate, all major traffic crashes and traffic homicide investigations.

Patrol Unit includes five uniformed squads made up of five sergeants, five
corporals and 34 officers.
