The City's Brownfields program is not just about redevelopment. It is also about incentives, on the federal, state and local levels to facilitate that development. For the community, brownfield redevelopment projects create new jobs and tax revenues, improve the environment, revitalize neighborhoods, increase property values, eliminate environmental inequities, and enhance the overall quality of life. Within the City of Ormond Beach there are two desginated Brownfields also known as the Granada Economic Opportunity Brownfield Zone and the US 1 North Brownfield.
