The board consists of seven members who are appointed by the City Commission
to serve two-year terms. The Planning Department
serves as the liason to the board.
The Historic Landmark Preservation Board (HLPB) acts as an advisory board to the City Commission on the designation of historic properties and archaeological sites within the City of Ormond Beach, and the designation of historic districts for historic preservation.
The board authorizes the permitting of specified alterations, demolitions, or other work to a designated historic landmark, historic site, or for a contributing property within a designated historic district.
