Recreation Advisory Board

The Recreation Advisory Board is established to foster cooperation and to provide assistance and recommendations to the City Commission in reference to all facets of recreation and recreational facilities for the City. The Board consists of twelve members, five of whom are appointed by the City Commission, and one each is nominated from the Youth Baseball Association, the Youth Basketball Association, the Youth Soccer Association, the Girls’ Softball Association, the Gymnastics Association, the Pop Warner Football Association, and the Senior Center. The Board meets twice a month at the South Ormond Neighborhood Center. The staff liaisons are the Recreation Manager and the Leisure Services Director, and the Board is governed by Section 2-221 of the Code of Ordinances.
