Ormond Crossings is envisioned by City and County officials as a working/living planned development project featuring a business park, lifestyle town centers, and a variety of residential neighborhoods.
This 6,000 acre planned development is located along the east and west side of I-95 and south of US-1 within Volusia and Flagler Counties. The project site is adjacent to the Ormond Beach Municipal Airport and is bisected diagonally by Florida East Coast Railroad which has existing siding along the property.
Significant infrastructure improvements are planned for the site including City water and sewer, major railroad and highway overpasses, high speed communication lines, and a network of tree-lined roads and boulevards. The site will also be planned to retain the naturally significant portions of the property and integrate passive and active recreational facilities for both workers in the business park and residents living in the newly created residential neighborhoods.
The Ormond Crossings business park offers tremendous opportunities for manufacturing, distribution and corporate offices. The project is estimated to yield five million square feet in industrial and commercial office space, create approximately 11,000 jobs, increase the local annual property revenues by $42 million, and stimulate construction spending by $575 million over a 20-year period. |
